PQWL means Pooled Quota Waiting List. It applies when seats are booked from intermediate stations. Confirmation depends on cancellations within that quota.

RLWL stands for Remote Location Waiting List. It is for smaller stations between major stops. RLWL tickets have lower chances of confirmation compared to PQWL.

Generally, PQWL has higher confirmation chances than RLWL because pooled quota gets more cancellations than remote location quota.

For AC 3-Tier (3A), cancellation charges are ₹240 if cancelled more than 48 hours before departure. Charges vary depending on timing.

Special train bookings for Diwali 2025 will start around September–October 2025. IRCTC and Indian Railways usually release schedules 30–60 days before festivals.
